Child Safety

SsshhhOut has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Protecting children and preventing their sexual exploitation or abuse are priorities on the Service.

For purposes of this policy, a child or minor means anyone under the age of 18.

SsshhhOut is an 18+ service. Users under 18 are not permitted to create an account, maintain an account, or use the Service.

Prohibited Content and Behaviour

You must not create, upload, request, share, distribute, promote, facilitate, or engage in any of the following:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct;
  • Sexual content that involves, depicts, or sexualizes anyone under 18;
  • Grooming, sexual solicitation, or attempts to contact a minor for a sexual purpose;
  • Requesting, sending, exchanging, or soliciting sexual images, videos, or sexual communications involving a minor;
  • Sextortion of a child, including threatening, coercing, or blackmailing a child using real or alleged intimate images or other sexual material;
  • Trafficking, advertising, recruiting, or soliciting a child for sexual exploitation;
  • Encouraging, facilitating, arranging, or attempting to facilitate the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor;
  • Creating or using accounts, groups, chats, or other features to facilitate the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors; or
  • Any other conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, endangers, or otherwise harms a minor.

These prohibitions apply regardless of claimed intent, context, or whether the conduct is presented as a joke, role-play, fictional scenario, or other form of expression.

SsshhhOut also prohibits attempts to use edited, manipulated, computer-generated, AI-generated, simulated, or other material involving minors to facilitate or promote prohibited sexual conduct. Such material may also be unlawful depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Users must not attempt to circumvent these rules by disguising, editing, encoding, linking to, embedding, or otherwise facilitating access to prohibited child-safety content or activity.

Underage Users

SsshhhOut is an 18+ service.

Users under the age of 18 are not permitted to create, maintain, or use an account or otherwise access the Service.

If we become aware that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate the account and take other appropriate safety measures in accordance with applicable law.

Users must not assist, encourage, invite, or facilitate the use of SsshhhOut by anyone under 18.

What We Do

When we become aware of CSAM, child sexual exploitation, grooming, or other serious child-safety violations, we take appropriate action based on the circumstances.

This may include:

  • Removing or restricting reported or identified content;
  • Restricting, suspending, or permanently terminating an associated account;
  • Restricting access to relevant features;
  • Taking additional measures to prevent repeated or continuing violations;
  • Preserving relevant information where reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, or an investigation, subject to applicable law and our data-retention practices; and
  • Reporting matters to appropriate authorities or designated reporting organizations where required or permitted by applicable law.

Child-safety reports are treated as a priority.

We may take interim action while a report or investigation is ongoing where we reasonably believe there is a serious child-safety risk.

Where permitted by law, we may take action without prior notice when necessary to protect users, prevent further abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

How to Report Child-Safety Concerns

Users can report child-safety concerns directly through the SsshhhOut app.

Depending on the feature, users may report concerns involving:

  • Posts;
  • Replies;
  • Groups;
  • Chats; and
  • Other user-generated content or interactions.

Where available, users can select Child Sexual Abuse Material or Exploitation as the report reason.

To report a child-safety concern in the app:

Profile → Settings → Help Center → Report a Problem → Select "Child Sexual Abuse Material or Exploitation"

Reports involving the sexual abuse, exploitation, grooming, or endangerment of a child should be made immediately.

Do not repost, forward, download, save, or otherwise redistribute suspected CSAM for the purpose of reporting it. Report the content through the available reporting mechanism and provide any relevant information requested by SsshhhOut.

We may contact you through an available and appropriate communication method if additional information is required to investigate a report.

If you or another person is in immediate danger or requires urgent assistance, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional or crisis support organisation. SsshhhOut's reporting channels are not a substitute for emergency services or immediate crisis assistance.

Authorities and Legal Reporting

SsshhhOut complies with applicable child-safety laws and valid legal requirements.

Where required or permitted by applicable law, we may report CSAM, child sexual exploitation, grooming, or other qualifying child-safety incidents to appropriate authorities or designated reporting organizations.

We may also respond to valid legal and governmental requests, including lawful preservation requests, emergency requests, court orders, subpoenas, warrants, or other legally authorized requests, as applicable to the jurisdiction and circumstances.

Information disclosed in response to such requests is handled in accordance with applicable law, our Privacy Policy, and applicable data-retention practices.

Cooperation With Child-Safety Investigations

SsshhhOut cooperates with legitimate child-safety investigations and lawful requests from competent authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Where legally required or otherwise permitted, we may preserve and provide relevant information that is available to us and within our possession or control.

SsshhhOut does not provide law-enforcement agencies or other third parties with unrestricted access to its internal systems, databases, or user accounts. Requests for information are handled through appropriate legal, security, and privacy processes.

Enforcement

Violations of this Child Safety Policy may result in immediate content removal, account restriction, suspension, or permanent termination.

Depending on the circumstances, we may also:

  • Restrict access to specific features;
  • Restrict or remove associated content;
  • Take measures to prevent repeated violations; and
  • Report serious matters to appropriate authorities or designated reporting organizations where required or permitted by applicable law.

We may take additional measures that are reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation, investigate serious violations, or comply with applicable law.

No Tolerance for Attempts to Circumvent Child-Safety Rules

Attempts to evade or circumvent SsshhhOut's child-safety protections are prohibited.

This includes attempts to:

  • Misrepresent a user's age;
  • Create, operate, or use accounts on behalf of minors;
  • Move prohibited interactions to another account, group, chat, or feature to avoid enforcement;
  • Circumvent account, content, or feature restrictions;
  • Use coded language, altered media, or other techniques to facilitate prohibited activity; or
  • Encourage, instruct, or assist another person in engaging in conduct prohibited by this policy.

We may take appropriate enforcement action against accounts involved in attempts to circumvent our child-safety protections.
