Your safety and privacy are important. While SsshhhOut uses moderation tools, reporting features, and other safety measures to help maintain a safe community, no online service can eliminate every risk. You are responsible for exercising good judgment, protecting your personal information, and deciding what you share and with whom.

The recommendations below are intended to help you use the Service safely and reduce the risk of fraud, abuse, or other harm.

Protect Your Personal Information

Do not share sensitive personal information with people you meet through the Service unless you fully understand the risks.

Examples include:

  • your mobile phone number;
  • home, work, or school address;
  • email address;
  • passwords or one-time passwords (OTPs);
  • authentication codes;
  • recovery codes;
  • government-issued identification numbers;
  • bank account, payment card, UPI, or other financial information;
  • any other confidential or sensitive personal information.

Remember that information you voluntarily share with others may no longer remain private.

Be Careful When Interacting with Others

Not everyone online is who they claim to be.

Exercise caution when communicating with other members, especially if someone:

  • asks for money or financial assistance;
  • requests personal or confidential information;
  • encourages you to move conversations to another platform;
  • pressures you into making quick decisions;
  • behaves suspiciously or inconsistently;
  • asks you to keep conversations secret;
  • asks you to disable safety features or ignore warnings.

Never assume another member's identity, intentions, or claims have been verified by SsshhhOut.

Never Send Money to Strangers

Do not send money, transfer funds, purchase goods or services, invest, lend money, provide financial assistance, or enter into financial arrangements with people you meet through the Service unless you have independently verified and trust them.

SsshhhOut does not verify financial transactions between members and is not responsible for losses resulting from scams, fraud, or private arrangements between users.

Report Suspicious or Harmful Behaviour

If you believe another member is:

  • violating these Terms;
  • attempting to scam or defraud others;
  • impersonating another person;
  • threatening or harassing someone;
  • encouraging illegal or dangerous activity;
  • requesting personal or financial information;
  • appearing to be under the minimum age; or
  • otherwise making the community unsafe,

please use the reporting tools available within the Service where supported (for example, to report posts or groups), or contact us using the details in Section 20 — Contact Us.

Reports help us identify and investigate potential violations. We review reports as promptly as reasonably practicable; however, review times may vary depending on the nature, severity, complexity, and volume of reports received. Following our review, we may determine that no action is required or take appropriate moderation or enforcement action under these Terms, including applying content labels, reducing content visibility, removing or restricting content, restricting features, or temporarily or permanently restricting an account or device.

If you believe there is an immediate risk of serious harm, criminal activity, or another emergency, you should promptly contact your local emergency services, law enforcement, or other appropriate competent authorities, as SsshhhOut is not an emergency response service.

Protect Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device.

You should:

  • keep your device secure and protected with appropriate security measures;
  • never share your verification codes, one-time passwords (OTPs), authentication credentials, or recovery codes with anyone;
  • use only your own account and do not allow others to access or use it;
  • avoid signing in on shared or untrusted devices or networks where possible;
  • do not leave your account signed in on devices accessible to others;
  • sign out of the Service if you lose access to your device or believe it has been compromised, where possible;
  • promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation or otherwise compromised; and
  • update your mobile number or authentication credentials as soon as reasonably practicable if you believe they have been compromised.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation or otherwise compromised, you should notify us as soon as reasonably practicable.

Meeting People Offline

SsshhhOut is not a dating, matchmaking, or offline meeting service and is not intended to facilitate in-person meetings between members. We encourage members to keep their interactions within the Service and to avoid sharing personal information or arranging to meet people they first encounter through the Service.

If you nevertheless choose to meet someone you first encountered through the Service, you do so entirely at your own risk. Helpful safety tips include:

  • meet only in public places;
  • meet during daylight where possible;
  • tell a trusted person where you are going;
  • arrange your own transportation;
  • avoid consuming alcohol or drugs that may impair your judgment; and
  • leave immediately if you feel unsafe.

SsshhhOut does not verify members' identities, conduct background checks, or guarantee the identity, intentions, or conduct of any member.

If you believe that you or another person is in immediate danger, is the victim of a crime, or requires urgent assistance, you should immediately contact your local emergency services, law enforcement, or another appropriate competent authority.

Think Before You Share

Once information is shared online, it may be copied, saved, forwarded, captured, or retained by others even if you later edit or delete it. Before sharing any information through the Service, carefully consider whether you are comfortable with the possibility that it could be seen, retained, or shared beyond your intended audience.

Avoid sharing personal information, confidential information, or anything that could put your privacy, safety, or security at risk.

These Safety Tips are provided for your guidance and are intended to help you use the Service more safely. They are recommendations rather than mandatory rules, and failure to follow them does not, by itself, constitute a violation of these Terms.
